Everyone,
The server cluster is currently down for upgrades (capacity is being doubled). We hope to have it back online around 7pm Eastern Daylight time.
Online multiplayer may limited or unavailable during this time but should improve as things come up. Thanks for bearing with us as we work through this.

We've been getting a number of questions lately concerning Kalypso's recent release of GC2: Endless Universe. Here are some of the most common ones, and their answers.
1) What is GC2: Endless Universe?
GC2EU is a standalone retail bundle of the Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor expansions. GC2: Dread Lords is neither included nor required. GC2EU is also translated into a number of languages for the areas that Kalypso covers.

At long last, GalCiv2's first mod has been updated for the latest expansion, Twilight of the Arnor. For those not already familiar with it, Kryo's Hull System Mod sports a number of features to make your GalCiv2 ship designing experience even better.
In particular, the two features new to this version are that the mod now provides all of the updated and reworked hull models introduced in TA as jewelry pieces right alongside the originals and those from Dark Avatar, so you can pick and choose those that suit your designs best, and that the mod now offers the galactic resources and ascension crystals as ship pieces as well! Ever wanted to make a ship that looks like a portable mining starbase? Now you can!

Just heard it from Brad on IRC. It might not have made it into 1.3 beta 2, but it will definitely be in beta3/final. From there on out, sizemods are now based on the base hull size, so parts will no longer grow as you research miniturization techs.

If you are unable to activate or register the game (via SDC, or after installing the latest patch), you're likely encountering one of a few common problems.
1) Your game came with NO serials at all.
There have been some reports of legitimate retail copies of the game not coming with a serial key at all. If you are sure your copy is legitimate and it did not come with ANY serials, contact support@stardock.com.
2) You're using the wrong serial.

Are there any plans to provide an easily machine readable metaverse syndication system for GC2?
I'm looking at adding some statbot-like capabilities to the upcoming v2 Jedi Republic site, and this was one feature that was wanted in GC1, but unfortunately it didn't arise until after retail and the MV budget didn't allow for it.
